Miley Cyrus has scrapped her Friday night concert in Omaha, Nebraska after struggling through recent shows with a sore throat. The Disney superstar hit the road with her Wonder World Tour last month and the dates have started taking their toll on her health and voice.

During a gig in Salt Lake City, Utah on Tuesday, Cyrus was forced to take a 15-minute break to seek medical attention backstage. On Wednesday, the singer/actress took to her Twitter.com blog to ask fans to stay positive ahead of her gig in Omaha. (more…)

Singer/actress Selena Gomez aims to raise $1 million for the United Nations Children’s Fund by the end of 2009. The Disney star was appointed an ambassador for the charity last month after lending her support to UNICEF in 2008.And Gomez hopes to use her celebrity to boost donations to the organisation, which raises awareness for issues such as children’s rights.
